How much does concrete sealing cost in Brisbane?
Most residential sealing jobs, clear or coloured, start from $30 per square metre plus GST, including preparation and two coats. The fixed price depends on the area, the slab’s condition, any old coating that has to come off and the system chosen, and you get it after a free on-site assessment.
Should I choose clear or coloured sealing?
Clear if you want the concrete itself to stay visible, especially exposed aggregate; penetrating sealers generally look natural, while clear topicals can enhance the colour and add some sheen. Coloured if it is faded, patchy or plain grey and you want to refresh or change the colour. If it has been sealed or coated before, that can decide it, so we confirm at the assessment.
Can you reseal a driveway that has been sealed before?
Often, yes, as long as the existing sealer is sound and the new product is compatible with it. A loose, peeling or flaking coating needs preparation or removal first, which we price separately and agree before we start. Cloudy or milky areas are assessed for the cause and compatibility before recoating.
How long does sealing last?
It depends on the product, the traffic and the sun. Expect roughly two to five years between coats: busy driveways sit nearer the lower end, covered areas longer. Your written warranty sets out what is covered.
How long until I can use the driveway?
The work is often one day on site, but drying and preparation can add time. Cure time depends on the product, surface and weather, and we confirm when you can walk and drive on it.
My concrete is worn or cracked. Will sealing fix it?
No. Sealer protects the surface you have. For a worn or patchy surface, spraycrete resurfacing puts a new finish over sound concrete. Hairline and minor cracks are patched during preparation, and structural cracking we flag at the assessment rather than cover up.
